What is Lumina?

Lumina is a non-custodial wallet for the Stellar network. It lets you hold, send, and receive XLM and other Stellar assets right from your browser.

Is the Chrome extension available yet?

Not yet — it's on its way. The web wallet is live today and works in any modern browser; the extension is coming soon.

Is Lumina custodial? Can you access my funds?

No. Lumina is non-custodial — your keys are generated and encrypted on your own device. We never see your recovery phrase and have no way to access, freeze, or recover your funds.

I lost my recovery phrase. Can you help me recover my wallet?

Unfortunately, no. Because Lumina never stores your recovery phrase, there is no way for us — or anyone — to recover a wallet without it. This is the trade-off of self-custody: full control, and full responsibility for your own backup.

How do I back up my wallet?

During setup, Lumina shows you a recovery phrase. Write it down and store it somewhere offline and secure — never as a screenshot or in a cloud note. Anyone with that phrase has full control of your funds.

Which assets can I hold in Lumina?

XLM and any Stellar asset with a trustline, including popular ones like USDC. You can add custom trustlines for other assets from the wallet.

Something isn't working — what do I do?

Reach out through Contact Us with as much detail as you can (what you were doing, any error message, your browser). We can't see your funds or keys, but we can help debug the app itself.
